CONSULTATION, DESIGN, AND PLANNING

Let’s bring your design to life.

Step 1: The Consultation

The consultation is an on-site conversation where we walk your property together and listen to how you hope to use and experience your outdoor space. We observe existing conditions—light, soil, drainage, and surrounding landscape—to understand what opportunities and challenges are present. From there, we share ideas, answer questions, and outline practical next steps for moving forward with design, installation, or stewardship.

Step 2: The Design Phase

After the consultation, we bring together what we’ve learned about your needs, values, and aesthetic preferences with a deep understanding of your site conditions and its historic ecosystem. From there, we begin to imagine a space that feels both intuitive and inspiring. We place exceptional care on how you want to feel in the landscape, translating those emotions into the fundamentals of good design—flow, readability, comfort, and connection. Plants are chosen and arranged with intention, emphasizing line, color, texture, seasonal interest, and aroma. When construction or hardscape elements are needed, they are thoughtfully integrated into the design so the entire space feels cohesive, functional, and deeply rooted in place.

landscape management planning

We provide landscape management planning for properties that benefit from a thoughtful, long-term approach, particularly sites with established plantings, natural areas, or invasive species challenges. We evaluate existing conditions and work with clients to develop a phased, realistic plan that prioritizes ecological health, usability, and budget. This may include strategies for invasive removal, restoration planting, selective clearing, and ongoing stewardship, all paced in a way that feels manageable and responsive to the property’s needs. Our goal is to create a clear roadmap that helps clients care for their landscape with confidence while allowing the space to improve and evolve over time.
