Full-service landscaping
consultation design & planning
We start by understanding your vision and assessing your site—soil, sunlight, drainage, and existing plants. From there, we create a plan focused on native species that will thrive in your conditions, supporting local ecology while enhancing beauty, function, and resilience. We collaborate with you every step of the way to ensure a design that grows stronger over time.

installation
We install with care, using methods that support healthy, resilient landscapes. Our work includes planting from plugs and seed, building natural hardscapes, and creating thoughtful water management solutions. Each site is unique, and we approach every installation as a collaboration with the place itself.
Care & Maintenance
We offer ongoing land stewardship, lawn care, and general maintenance services to help landscapes establish, mature, and thrive over time. Our work includes invasive species management, site restoration, garden maintenance, and lawn care for clients interested in a more ecologically grounded approach to caring for their yards. Whether you would like us to manage everything or prefer to be involved in the learning and care process, we tailor our services to fit your goals, interests, and comfort level.

lawncare
At Adapt Landscapes, we understand that lawns are more than just grass—they are functional spaces where children play, bare feet wander, and blankets are spread for relaxation. Lawns also provide a visual calmness, offering a serene counterpoint to vibrant garden beds. While we will mow and maintain lawns, our approach seeks to move beyond the standard chemically treated monoculture. We primarily use electric mowers and overseed with native, nearly-native, or low-mow fescues that grow to no more than 12 inches, creating sustainable, low-maintenance lawns that are both functional and ecologically friendly.
invasive removal
Buckthorn, Honeysuckle, Privet, Barberry… the list is unfortunately too long. But you don’t have to feel helpless in face of these bullies. Getting rid of your invasive shrubs is a great first step in creating a garden or restoring your land! We cut and treat from late summer through late winter.
For larger properties, we can help you create a management plan to tackle these invasive plants in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Weeding
We carefully maintain your gardens by removing weeds and plants that compete with the ones you want to thrive. We keep an eye out for invasive or aggressive species that could take over and disrupt your landscape. The result is a healthier, more balanced garden that grows beautifully over time. We can visit regularly or do a seasonal clean up depending on your needs.
pruning
Pruning is important for many reasons, especially with any fruit producing species. Pruning allows air and light to flow through the canopy encouraging flower and fruit while discouraging disease. Proper pruning can prevent unwanted growth over sidewalks and driveways while maintaining a beautiful shape. We can prune your plants and trees for better health, shape, and harvest.
